Student Groups Directory

UTMSU recognized groups and clubs are student groups representing the interests of the student population. The recognition process is mandatory every academic year in order to be approved for room booking and office space privileges, rights to apply for annual and event funding and constant support from UTMSU. Academic Societies are student-led organizations with a specific academic focus. Almost every Academic Department at UTM has a representative academic society that unites and enriches student life and allows them to participate in accomplishing a set of academic objectives. Levy Groups are funded by students through an annual levy collected by the UTMSU to provide cost-saving services. UTM students enrolled full-time during Summer 2022 are eligible to request a refund for some Student Society fees. .
