Virtual Tax Clinic 2022
Do you need help with filing your income tax return? You may be eligible for help at our free tax clinic if you have a modest income and a simple tax situation. A free tax clinic is a place where eligible people can get their tax returns done for free by volunteers. These tax clinics are hosted by community organizations across Canada through the Community Volunteer Income Tax Program (CVITP).
Our Community Volunteer Income Tax Program (CVITP) is a collaborative partnership between the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA), the University of Toronto Mississauga Students’ Union (UTMSU), and our volunteers. UTMSU tax clinic volunteers complete tax and benefit returns for eligible individuals to ensure they receive, or continue to receive, the benefit payments to which they are entitled.
UTMSU is hosting their 2022 Tax Clinic virtually by appointment through videoconferencing between March 14 – April 14, 2021, Monday – Thursday, 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. All interested clients must register with the appropriate link below, before proceeding with an appointment booking. All appointments will be conducted in English through Zoom to students/community members who meet our eligibility criteria.
The following registration will help us determine your eligibility for filing through CVITP. All approved registrants will be notified, and appointments will be made accordingly.
If you are interested in attending in-person clinics you can explore the CVITP database to find a clinic near them, click here. For any questions about the UTMSU Tax Clinic, please email taxclinic@utmsu.ca.
